Chopper Spins Out of Control into Palm Trees at Well-Known Southern California Coast
A chopper hovering above a popular coastal shoreline unexpectedly started spinning wildly, finally losing altitude and plunging into a row of palm trees as spectators watched.
Recordings shared on social media capture the helicopter commencing to spiral above the beach then falling towards the perimeter of the coast, where it gets stuck among palm groves and a staircase close to the shoreline route.
Rescue Operation Details
Local firefighters stated five individuals were transported to a medical facility including a pair who were in the helicopter and were “safely pulled from the wreckage” subsequent to the crash on Saturday.
Three people on the street were injured. Information on their condition were not yet released.
The reason for the accident was still under investigation.
